Sure, Mary wants to intrigue you, perplex you, make you laugh, smile, cry -- even furrow your brows, but more than any of those things, she wants you to take a journey, imagining a far off world, a distant reality where you’re the adventurer.

She wants you to claim an experience all your own; to recall your memories of being there, in the story. Alive, breathing, animated…

Mary Margaret Park is an uncompromising Author & Poet who understands being a Writer instinctively. From crime, drama, mystery, and thriller precedents, to psychological, epic, and horror aesthetics, this is from where her writings and germinations begin.

Connection, amusement, it’s all important; mostly though, she wants to move and motivate your senses -- by offering avant-garde & experimental prose of a different kind.

When Mary was young, she spent countless hours reading through fiction and reference books, centering on the ideas of philosophy and logic. Growing up in suburban surroundings had its positive and negative plights. The true tests of time would be in the coming years through which she was forced to balance writing alongside many unforeseen hardships.

It was revolution.

Mary’s poetry & story writing gains strengths and acknowledgement that far surpasses what she thought possible. She’s met many wonderful people while continuing to cherish every aspect of what makes her publishing journey truly realized.

An Introspective

Mary Margaret Park is an Author & Poet of Psychological, avant-garde, & experimentally flavored Writings. Her cadence is molded from the uplifting & downtrodden aspects of day to day existence. Crafting experiences for reader’s that develop from uninhibited storytelling, the genetic makeup of her written forms & stanzas obliterate the norm and enable revision into the world of literature.

Delivering imagery of an unhinged nature, Mary thrives on pushing the emotional envelope. Never fearing what may come of a particular combination, she fuels her ambitions by holding no shame in exploring the taboo, the eccentric, or the faux pas. On a political level, she renders ideas that stem from the heart versus popular ideas.

Some of her favorite Writer’s, whether mainstream or independent have been Stephen King (The Gunslinger Series), Kurt Vonnegut, C.S. Lewis, & Ernest Hemmingway. Other influences that have inspired her Writings are David Lynch, I Ching, Tzu Sun, & Margaret Altwood. Though there are many more, she feels these are immediate influencers of today’s aspirations.

Mary explores the world by invoking the unvoiced & channeling new ideas through unconventional rhythms. She rediscovers the lines between normal & obscure, meshing them together in a bind that could be considered futurist. She tantalizes ideas deemed unpopular in the process and holds each side together while making you question reality with every turn.

“I wish more people were involved with books today.” – Mary explained “But I guess the culture shift has stiffened the wave of curiosity that new releases once held. I don’t blame anything since it is my duty to deliver what I hope will be quality reading to the forefront. It is equally important that I connect to my reader’s directly; since we have the ability now.”

Mary Margaret Park is also a Classical Flutist, Pianist, & Pop/Rock Vocalist. Alongside being a writer, she develops press-releases and every now & then, coordinates press-correspondences in markets such as the video-game industry.

She is also an accredited Scientist.
